Beaches in Myanmar are still relatively unknown. Nevertheless, Myanmar has a long coastal strip stretching from the Bay of Bengal in the west of the country to the south along the Andaman Sea. And the long golden sandy beaches in the Arakan State are said to be among the most beautiful in the world!
Ngapali Beach is probably the best well known in Myanmar; offering an idyllic spot to end your vacation; easily accessible by air from Yangon, Inle Lake or Bagan, accommodation range nowadays varies from simple guest-houses to the most luxurious resorts.
Despite an increase of visitors in recent years, no hotels construction has gone beyond the tops of coconut trees and the beach yet does not suffer from overcrowding, a sumptuous place that is still preserved!
The Myeik archipelago, located in the Tanintharyi region, South of Burma is probably one of the hidden treasures of Myanmar which has not yet been fully revealed to visitors.
